We have one computer, a desktop, in a bleak room with no amenities other than a window. Stevebradley - 10:25 PM Your question is REALLY good, and all I can tell you is that a poorly set-up room removes 90%* of the desire to work the CT. I would say you need something at least the size of a small office.
Plus I'm trying to store the rest of the bike gear in there. But it's a small room (I would have to measure but think it's slightly smaller than your standard 12x12 ) and the angles make it tough. Lastly, a FAN! Where are you going to put your fan?īelieve it or not, all of this seems to barely fit into the room I have it in.
What about movies/TV while on the CT? Right now my trainer room is set up with a trunk in the corner that I have a 27" TV and a satellite receiver sitting on. Anything you want to be able to grab while still on your bike. That same stand should have room for water, remote, phone, etc. Not sure what bike you are using, but that stupid thing doesn't actually fit on any of my handlebars and I end up just draping it across the handlebars. I guess in theory once you're all set up you don't really need to, but I've had to mess with the laptop often enough that I like to be able to reach it from the saddle.Ī nice permanent stand for your handlebar computer would be key too. My suggestions would be to set it up so you can definitely reach the laptop from the bike. I've put a lot of thought into what I would want for a trainer room though mine is still in the building stage. Having used my CT in some austere locations, I feel almost qualified to answer this. I'd love to see some pics of rooms set up similarly so I can figure out how much space I'll be needing. My plan right now is to pair the Computrainer to a dedicated cheapie laptop stored in a magazine rack on the wall (or some equivalent shelving ), with a 32" TV as the display. Your DVD could be 12 years old and the software probably doesn't work well on Win 10.
You should ONLY install the Videos, and get the updated software from this website. The software on the DVD is old and not supported. Follow the on-screen instructions as the installation progresses and completes.
Well, really they don't, but we still have people asking how to re-install them. It seems DVD's have an infinite lifetime once released. Login here and click your username showing in the upper right corner.
